BSB Number is a six-digit code. The format of the BSB code originally was for the first two digits to indicate the “bank” and the other four digits to specify the “branch” of that financial institution, the first digit of which was the state code indicating the state where the branch was located.

Australian Payments Clearing Association (APCA) is now the regulatory body of cheque clearances and of the BSB codes in Australia. APCA assigns the bank code to a financial institution and the financial institution allocates the other digits to its branches, in line with guidelines set by APCA.
As a client of CBA for more than 18 years I went to This branch to request Bank’s Statements days before but turned out the Statements didn’t show the Full amount of Credit Interests for the Past few years as per Records so I went back days later and just told this staff Member that my statement was printed “WRONG” before the staff access my Account Details ; He started laughing and said you do know this statement can just get on the internet RIGHT.!
You do realize you can get this statement online RIGHT.!
He then even asked Where and How I got this amount of money AFTER accessing my Account details and asked What sort of businesses my Family and I were Doing!!! Finally, when he accesses my Account details that Moment., He went ALL Frustrated and Angry as he raised his voice and tone then keep repeating saying NO NOOOO NO., that’s the only details shown in the Acc. and there’s NOTHING WRONG on the statement Printed so NO! They didn’t print ANYTHING Wrong while saying that He Point his fingers at my Face and even speak to the Bank’s Staff Lady standing NEXT to him where She used to greet Customer at the entrance that I WAS the WRONG one while I was standing in front of His Face , his counter., ALL this Time this WHOLE time Then only I realize there wasn’t and also NO any Other’s customers in the branch during that Exact moment just Them 2!.
Finally, I explained to him my Account was opened 8 years Ago so there’s missing more than previous 3-4 years of Credit Interests Account in my Bank’s Statement then he Only replied It could be!!! Maybe.!!!
My Blood Boils and I was SO Frustrated and Pissed at that MOMENT., I just screamed and yelled Shouted back at him : –
YESSSSSS.!!! PLEASSSSSSE!!!
Then He only Quietly went to print my bank’s statements and go collect it behind his counter from the printer and that’s when he about to pass the Banks’ statement to me ; He just said 2.50.!
So, I asked him WHAT FOR.??!
He said FOR Statement.!!!
Then I just said the Other’s staff didn’t even charge me Anything B4 previously He just replied : –
” She should “!
” She SHOULD ” !!!
~ Even as I angrily Rushing leaving the Branch, he said out oud Seeeeee Ya ! ” Seeeee Ya ” !!!
The moment you realize there’s a typical tan asian Staff with an Aussie accent working in here feels He’s More Superior “Smarter” than anybody and anyone else in the World include the Customers and clients because He’s Asian but reality, He couldn’t even print a Bank Statement!!
