The Cape Verde Stock Exchange was created on May 11, 1998, by governmental. A public limited company with exclusively public capital, whose object was to carry out transactions in securities. It was effectively inaugurated on March 29, 1999 and operated until 2003 / April 2004, and its operation was interrupted at the time of the beginning of a profound financial reform in terms of financial legislation, whose purpose was to transform Cape Verde into an attractive and Competitive financial platform, resuming its full activity in December 2005.
